Update Mrs Holmes, Miss Golland and Mrs Greer

Update 16.10.16 for Mrs Holmes’, Mrs Greer’s and Miss Golland’s classes.

Literacy homework this week is to complete an activity from the front of the Reading Journal.

There is no maths homework this week as the children have history homework to complete. The children should still be practising their rainbow maths targets and using mathletics too. We are really looking forward to seeing the children’s sources of evidence work tomorrow.

Following our Victorian focus visits last week, we would like the children to carefully consider which area of Victorian life they would like to study after half term. Once decided, it would be great if they could try to find some resources to support their learning- maybe visiting the libraries, finding some useful websites (they had training this week from Mr Lane on how to see how reliable a website is) or maybe going to the Guernsey Folk Museum again to take some photos. Please do not let them do any specific research as we will be doing this in class but encourage them to choose an area which really interests them. In literacy this week, we shall be writing recounts of our trip to the Folk Museum- these will be sent as thank-you letters to Mr Morris. We learnt so many things and realised how different life was for the Victorians.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require any further information,

    • Hello Mr Mann,
The history homework is due in tomorrow but if there is any problem it can be handed in when finshed.

  1. Have you seen the programme on bbc2 on monday nights at 9pm. Ive recorded it for Ollie to watch. It will be avaliable on I player or catchup. It was very good. Ollie loved his excursions last week. Thanks for making them possible.

  2. What date would leavers assembly be? My parents would like to know the dates so they can book our holiday and see if it clashes with hockey. When is it?

  3. I will only be able to do leavers early in the week(Monday) as all my family are going away because of Jays 6 nations hockey so I will have no family to stay with if it is any longer?

  4. I can do leavers now I just have to miss a little of hockey but to make up for that I am going in Easter instead but will have to leave on the Thursday.

  5. I have finished my homework but would I be able to give it in on Tuesday as I haven’t got any paint and all the shops are closed now? I will bring the information it is just the model ?
